1. Represented a 15 year old juvenile who had been charged with murdering a new born infant where the defendant had allegedly signed multiple written confessions. After trial, the defendant was found guilty of tampering with evidence and sentenced to probation.
2. Represented a defendant who had been charged with multiple burglaries. We were able to work out a situation where after a diversionary program, all the charges against the client were dismissed.
3. Represented a defendant who had been indicted on Gang Assault in the First Degree and Robbery in the First Degree in a case where the victim was allegedly hit over the head with a metal pipe. Resolved the case by having the defendant accepted into a diversionary program and after successful completion, all charges were dismissed.
4. Represented a client in an appeal of a murder conviction. Based on improper actions relating to grand jury presentation, the conviction was overturned in the appellate division.
5. Represented client on a multi-million dollar Medicaid fraud case being handled in Federal Court. After substantial negotiations, the client was allowed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor with restitution and probation.
6. Represented a client who had been charged with mail fraud relating to the theft of hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Internal Revenue Service which was allegedly obtained by filing false requests for tax refunds. At the time of sentencing, client received 30 days in jail, house arrest, probation and restitution.
7. Represented a client who was charged with being the supplier in a cocaine distribution case in Federal Court in Connecticut. Although the guideline range for the client was 121-151 months, the defendant was sentenced to 36 months of incarceration.
8. Represented a defendant in a narcotics conspiracy where client was charged with driving a truck that contained 68 kilos of cocaine. After negotiations, defendant was allowed to plea to a charge that carried a guideline range of 63-78 months instead of the statutory minimum of 10 years. At the time of sentencing I was able to get the judge to grant a downward departure and sentence the client to 48 months.
9. Represented a defendant who had been charged with supervising the transportation of multiple kilos of heroin from Texas to New York in a drug conspiracy. After negotiations, client was allowed to plea to a charge that produced a guideline range of 70-87 months instead of the 10 year statutory minimum. At the time of sentencing the client was sentenced to 46 months.
10. Represented a defendant in a narcotics conspiracy regarding multiple kilos of cocaine. Through negotiations client was allowed to plea to a charge which produced a guideline range of 46-57 months instead of the 10 year statutory minimum. At sentencing I was able to get client sentenced to a year and a day of incarceration.
